Thomas Muller ‘wants to leave Bayern Munich in January’ after becoming fed up with life on the bench… so, will he finally come to the Premier League after Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all tried to sign him?
Thomas Muller wants to bring an end to his 19-year career at Bayern Munich with a move away in January after becoming disillusioned with life on the bench.
According to German newspaper Bild, the 30-year-old forward is fed up with his role under manager Niko Kovac after beginning the last five games as a substitute.
And Muller, who has attracted serious interest from Premier League clubs in the past, is open to a move to England as he looks to reignite his career.

Manchester United tried to sign the striker for upwards of £90million back in 2015 when Louis van Gaal was in charge, but a deal could not be agreed.
In 2017, Jurgen Klopp asked about the possibility of bringing Muller to Liverpool, while Arsenal were also interested in signing him that summer.
Bild claim that Muller rejected ‘mega offers’ from the Premier League giants in order to stay at the club he loves, although his relationship with Bayern has now soured.

He has struggled for regular playing time so far this term and has just one goal to his name, against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
Muller joined Bayern’s academy in 2000 when he was 11 years old and made his first-team debut in 2008, coming on as a sub in a Bundesliga game against Hamburg.
He has gone on to make 495 appearances, scoring 186 goals and winning 21 trophies including eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League.

Muller’s current contract expires in 2021 and Bild say that he had fully intended to see it out – until last weekend.
The former Germany international, who also rejected a move to Inter Milan last summer, is said to believe his ‘star is sinking’ after being left out of the starting XI again for last Saturday’s shock defeat by Hoffenheim.
Speaking about Muller after the game, Bayern boss Kovac said: ‘If there’s trouble, he will certainly get his minutes.’
