Kylian Mbappe ‘would love to go to Real Madrid’ and follow in footsteps of his ‘idol’ Cristiano Ronaldo, insists his former PSG team-mate Jese as superstar’s contract talks with French giants remain in deadlock
Kylian Mbappe would ‘love’ to join Real Madrid and emulate his ‘idol’ Cristiano Ronaldo, according to his former Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Jese Rodriguez.
The superstar forward, who has long been heavily linked with a move to Spain, has 18 months left on his current PSG contract and talks over a new deal are yet to progress.
Jese, who played for Real between 2011 and 2016, spent four seasons with Mbappe at the Parc des Princes and believes the 22-year-old would not hesitate to join the LaLiga side if the opportunity arose.

‘He would love to go to Real Madrid,’ the Las Palmas forward told El Partidazo de COPE.
‘His idol has always been Cristiano [Ronaldo]. He loves Madrid and I am sure he will play there one day.’
Mbappe famously had posters of Ronaldo adorning his bedroom walls as a teenager.
The Portuguese legend, who at the age of 35 is still in amazing goalscoring form for Juventus, scored an incredible 450 goals in 438 games for Real, winning the Champions League four times and La Liga twice during his nine-year spell at the Bernabeu.
Mbappe’s former team-mate left PSG in December after his contract was terminated following a sex scandal.

The 27-year-old was accused of cheating on his partner with her model friend. He was also pictured at a party in Gran Canaria ignoring social distancing rules and not wearing a face mask in November.
The Ligue 1 side moved to end the Spaniard’s contract with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi tired of his personal life damaging the image of the club. He has since joined hometown club Las Palmas.
Despite Mbappe’s future remaining unclear, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino recently played down talk of a potential exit.

He said: ‘There’s lots of rumours, but I see him remaining at PSG for a long time to come and that’s what the club wants,’ Pochettino told Marca.
‘We have him in our plans for all the time that we’re going to be at the club.
‘Granted he needs to make a decision (on his future), but what we see is someone who is very happy here and fully committed to the sporting project at this club.’
