PSG 2-1 Nantes: Kylian Mbappe appears to make amends with Thomas Tuchel as French leaders continue their winning run

Paris St Germain have extended their winning run to seven matches with a 2-1 win over Nantes to move 15 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.

Mauro Icardi scored his tenth league goal of the season in the 29th minute to give PSG the lead at the Stade de la Beaujoire.

The Argentine had not scored in his previous six games but starred alongside Kylian Mbappe, who started days after rowing with manager Thomas Tuchel over being substituted.

And the French wonderkid appeared to put the row to bed, embracing the manager at the full-time whistle after playing the full 90 minutes.

The league leaders doubled their lead just before the hour mark when Thilo Kehrer nodded the ball past the Nantes goalkeeper following a corner.

Nantes pulled one back following a defensive mistake by Presnel Kimpembe, and the ball fell to Moses Simon who struck the ball past Keylor Navas.

A single goal from Loic Remy ensured Lille secured all three points in a 1-0 home victory over Rennes.

Jonathan Ikone played the ball to Remy and he tapped home in the fourth minute for his eighth goal of the season, as fourth-placed Lille closed the gap on Rennes to just three points.

Monaco secured their first victory under Roberto Moreno to climb to ninth in the table with a hard-fought victory over Angers.
