Following the news that he will miss the reunion with his former club, Neymar tweeted: ‘Top three of the games I most wanted to play’ and was following with a crying face emoji.
Neymar’s absence from the Champions League clash came after he was injured during PSG’s game against Caen.
Having already had his star player thumped once, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino was about to take matters into his own hands during the Caen game by substituting Neymar, before he was hit again.
As a result, Neymar left of his own accord in the 59th minute and was seen limping after the game.

As a result, the Brazilian has been ruled out of action for a month after picking up a groin strain
A series of scans on Thursday revealed that Neymar had suffered a groin injury and that he would most likely be ruled out for a month.
Such a time scale will see him not only miss this evening’s meeting with his former club Barcelona, but also the return leg in Paris.
Neymar has been vocal in his belief that opposition players are too aggressive against him, and previously took to Instagram to vent his fury following news he will miss a reunion with his former club.
In a lengthy post, Neymar said he was ‘uncomfortable’ on the pitch due to fear of being injured and spoke of his ‘sadness’ about his situation.
He wrote: ‘The sadness is great, the pain is immense and the crying is constant.
‘Once again I will stop doing what I love most in life for a while, which is playing football.
He put out a post on Instagram saying he ‘just wants to be happy’ after being sidelined again
‘Sometimes I feel uncomfortable due to my style of play, because I dribble and end up getting assaulted constantly.
‘I don’t know if the problem is me or what I do on the field … it really saddens me.
‘It makes me so sad to have to hear from a player, coach, commentator or the f****** No.4 (Caen player) ‘he really has to be beaten’ ‘falls down’ ‘crying kid’ ‘spoiled’ and etc …
‘Honestly it saddens me and I don’t know how long I can take it, I just want to be happy playing football. THAT’S IT.’
