Alex Jakubiak joins St Mirren on loan until end of the season from Watford
Watford forward Alex Jakubiak has joined Scottish Premiership club St Mirren on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
Jakubiak spent the first half of the season on loan at Gillingham, where he scored seven goals in 30 appearances in all competitions.
The 23-year-old, who has made just one senior appearance for Watford, told St Mirren’s official website: ‘I spoke to the gaffer last night and I thought it would be a good move for me.

‘I didn’t really have to think about it too much, it was an opportunity I really wanted to take up.
‘I know what to expect. I’ve played at decent levels and I feel like this is the next step to get game time and prove that I can play at a higher level.
‘I know Lee Hodson, Junior [Morias] and Stephen McGinn so that makes it easier in terms of settling in and I’m just looking forward to it now.
‘I like to be creative and direct going forward. I can definitely score goals and that’s the main thing for me.’
